“Hey Case ima just detail to you how crosses work since everyone says use it with no explanation. First off to use a cross you need to right click while looking at the demon that’s trying to haunt you, crosses also work passively meaning you can hold it in your hand, and while holding the cross it actually lets you track the nearest entity ( like a submarine sonar) to be aware of dangerous ones that are near and stalking you, but also allows you to find cursed structures with loot (good for story progression if interested). Secondly crosses come in 2 tiers, wooden which is the basic tier and is not good at defending against the enemies it’s more used as a tracking tool to tell you if you are near a haunted area ( it does this passively by playing Erie audios or a clicking sound when near haunted structures or haunted mineshafts) which I believe your base is right outside the haunted mineshaft hence why you see so many entities now. The iron cross which is the highest tier cross is best used as a defensive tool, which means when the demons who are basically one hitting you, right clicking with the iron cross while actively looking at the demon it will stun the demon (this is called warding) which gives you a great window to escape. Lastly purification means when villagers have those white eyes and are tracking you down, that’s a possession which means right clicking those possessed mobs with a cross (preferably iron due to better durability and warding ability) will return them back to a normal state so you don’t have to kill them. And once against to stress the main point, use the iron cross and right clicking those possessed while LOOKING at the entity, timing them right will allow you to escape the entity and run to safety. I hope this helps Case, and I hope people read this and who maybe are active in his chat can convey this information now as well since he may not even see this, but everyone can’t keep telling him to do stuff with no actual helpful information on how. Edit: a piece of information I forgot to add is that the cross does not work on herobrine, works on almost every other entity though (this is due to herobrine being from a different mod than where the cross is from)”
